Is it OK if my dog guards a food toy?

Guarding a food toy (or anything else that is of value to your dog) is normal behaviour. It’s worth saying that again ‘resource guarding’ is normal behaviour. For us too. I’m known (light-heartedly I hope!) to resource guard Bendick’s mints as any of my close friends will tell you. Sometimes they bring two boxes. One for me and one to share. I know, I’m terrible!
